Taxes pay for the armies, city guards, construction of public property, roads, libraries, and hospitals.

There are two sets of taxes: local taxes, made by the city or province, and the national or regional taxes. Generally, the tax is paid for with whatever the subjects have to pay with. Farmers pay with crops, blacksmiths create arms for the militia, and nobles pay in gold.

Succession is determined by the king. His son or sons will take over after he dies. If he has multiple, he either splits up his kingdom into regions, or he picks a single son to pass on his kingdom to. The king and his family are protected by the Royal Guard.

Adventurers don't have to pay any taxes besides the annual adventurer's tax, which is proportional to their income. Ex soldiers do not need to pay this tax for two years after leaving service.
